Using Afterpay in-store is simple and works similarly to online purchases. First, download the Afterpay app and sign in to your account. Then, navigate to the “In-Store” tab within the app and follow the prompts to set up an Afterpay Card, which is a digital card linked to your account.
When you’re ready to shop, select Afterpay as your payment method at checkout. Open the app, go to the Afterpay Card, and tap “Pay in-store”. This will activate your Afterpay Card, which you can then use via Apple Pay or Google Pay.
Afterpay will split your purchase into four equal installments, with the first payment due at the time of purchase. The remaining three payments are automatically deducted every two weeks.
Each in-store purchase is subject to Afterpay’s approval process, which considers factors like your account history and available funds.
To avoid late fees, ensure you have enough funds for each installment. You can track upcoming payments, manage your spending, and make early repayments directly in the Afterpay app.
Not all stores accept Afterpay, so check the app for participating retailers before you shop.
